Semarang, Jawa Tengah, ABIM (23/4/2023) – Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono and Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo reviewed the preparation of the Lebaran homecoming service at the Batang-Semarang toll road rest area on Tuesday (4/18).
During the review, Minister Basuki together with Governor Ganjar also greeted travelers who were resting at the KM 379A Travoy Rest Area and KM 389B Travoy Rest Area on the Batang – Semarang section.
Apart from greeting travelers and providing takjil, Minister Basuki, Governor Ganjar, and the Main Director of PT Jasa Marga Subakti Syukur also launched the UMKM village in the KM 379A travoy rest area and compensated orphans.
Minister Basuki stated that three factors contributed to the smooth operation and safe and memorable homecoming. First and first, facilities and infrastructure services must be of high quality, particularly in terms of cleanliness and water availability. Second, good regulations, such as joint leave periods, contraflow, and one way, which will be implemented beginning Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 14.30 WIB.
“Third, the behavior of road users. We all have to work well together in providing Lebaran homecoming services. The PUPR Ministry prepares infrastructure and facilities, the Police and the Ministry of Transportation prepare regulations, and users must also behave properly. Don’t let it happen that when one way is implemented, there are still those who are fighting to enter the toll road,” said Minister Basuki.
For this reason, Minister Basuki invited travelers to be orderly and disciplined towards the applicable rules, and follow the instructions of officials in the field, so that the homecoming trip can be safer and more memorable. “This homecoming is the most happiness. Because, there is no more happiness than people who can go home. For this reason, the services provided must be good,” added Minister Basuki.
According to Minister Basuki, there are presently 127 rest spots on 70 operating toll roads in Indonesia as part of the Lebaran homecoming service in 2023. The presence of MSMEs in the rest area is expected to drive the local economy.
“Another service we provide is the addition of toilets, which previously only numbered 6,000 toilets, now there are 9,000 toilets,” said Minister Basuki.
Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo shared his thoughts on the 2023 Lebaran homecoming service today. “Thank God, several toll road sections are also operational in terms of infrastructure readiness.” Today, I saw that the one-way is still relatively smooth. “Many thanks to Minister Basuki and the PUPR Ministry’s official,” Ganjar remarked.
