Jakarta, ABIM (5/5/2023) – On Tuesday, February 5, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), in keeping with the spirit of Eid al-Fitr 1444 H, hosted an offline and online Halal Bihalal (post-Ramadan gathering) at the Ministry of PUPR office. All Primary and Middle High Officials as well as all employees of the Ministry of PUPR staff from the main office and the country’s regional offices participated in the event.
“I sincerely apologize on behalf of my entire family, as the Ministry of PUPR, and myself. I also hope that I don’t make too many mistakes when leading. We believe that our work has been poorly planned, directed, and executed. We sincerely apologize for that.” Minister Basuki said.
Minister Basuki advised all PUPR personnel to maintain neutrality in this political year. “I beg the big family of the PUPR Ministry not to get involved in politics. For ASN, neutrality is a must, because our political rights are in the voting booth. Stay neutral and avoid getting involved in political discussions on WhatsApp and social media. “We will continue to be professional in carrying out orders and tasks for infrastructure development in Indonesia,” Minister Basuki stated.
Minister Basuki also reminded to be extra cautious when handling state funds. “Do not make mistakes that lead to violations of the law,” Minister Basuki added.
On this occasion Minister Basuki also expressed his appreciation to all PUPR personnel who had participated in the smooth traffic flow of Eid 1444 H homecoming and returning. Moreover, there was a lot of appreciation in the media for arranging the flow of homecoming and returning in Eid 2023 which was considered quite successful. Minister Basuki said the success of traffic management could be due to several things.
“First, the availability of infrastructure. Second, regulation and arrangement, and third, behavior. In arranging Eid homecoming and returning, the PUPR Ministry is only behind the scenes because we are already at the forefront in providing infrastructure. Thank you to colleagues who have supported better infrastructure,” Minister Basuki explained.
Finally, Minister Basuki also thanked all PUPR personnel who served at the Sapta Taruna Post of the Ministry of PUPR and played a role in providing information and providing resting facilities, as well as additional mobile toilets for travelers.
“Thank you also for your hard work and dedication to the Ministry of PUPR, especially colleagues who have devoted all their abilities to support the homecoming and returning program during the 2023 Eid Al-Fitr celebrations,” Minister Basuki concluded. (ABIM)
