North Penajam Paser, East Kalimantan, ABIM (12/6/2023) – Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) keeps developing infrastructure in National Capital City (IKN) of Nusantara. According to Minister of Public Works and Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, the “Future Smart Forest City of Indonesia” idea was used to implement infrastructure development for the IKN of Nusantara in stages.
“The Smart Forest City vision must serve as our guide and orientation for work.” You must be careful not to cut down trees or strip cliffs. “Instead, we use existing trees and cliffs to provide a good landscape view of the area,” Minister Basuki explained.
In the early stages in 2022-2024, infrastructure development that is a priority for the Ministry of PUPR is the Central Government Core Area (KIPP), one of which is the Arrangement of the Sumbu Kebangsaan Phase I (Plaza Ceremony) through the East Kalimantan Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center (BPPW), Directorate General of Cipta Work of the Ministry of PUPR.
Philosophically, the Sumbu Kebangsaan at KIPP IKN Nusantara is an open space that is a symbol of harmonious relations between nature, humans and cultural noble values. Later, this Sumbu Kebangsaan will imaginatively connect the Presidential Palace to the Mangrove Ecopark through a series of open spaces, starting from the Ceremony Plaza, Civil/Bukit Bendera Plaza, Bhinneka Plaza, Science and Tech Park, Adi Budaya Plaza, Performance Plaza to Democracy Plaza.
“East Kalimantan BPPW Head Rozali Indra Saputra stated that the Phase I Sumbu Kebangsaaan Arrangement (Plaza Ceremony) work began in December 2022 and is expected to be completed in December 2023.”
“The Phase I construction of the Sumbu Kebangsaan Arrangement was carried out by PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero), with the Construction Management Consultant by PT Virama Karya (Persero) KSO PT Laras Sembada, with a contract value of IDR 365.8 billion,” Indra said.
The Sumbu Kebangsaan Phase I arrangement is separated into three zones, the first of which contains the northern section of the Wetland and the Visitor Center Building. The Ceremonial Lawn, Retail & Gallery Building, East Plaza, West Plaza, and Toilet & Service Building make up Zone 2. Zone 3 also includes the Central Promenade, Forest Walk, Forest Trail, Mini Ampitheater, and the Southern Wetland. Zones 4 and 5 are made up of Shared Street.
The scope of work comprises planning, land preparation, and landscape work in several zones. Then there will be drainage work, roads, visitor center buildings, retail buildings, and restrooms. “Currently, the physical progress of Phase I of the National Axis Arrangement has reached 28.939%,” Indra concluded.
