Jakarta, ABIM (30/6/2023) – In the momentum of Eid al-Adha 1444 H, hundreds of construction workers who are carrying out infrastructure development at IKN Nusantara are holding Eid prayers in congregation, as well as slaughtering sacrificial animals. A series of Eid al-Adha celebrations were held at the Al Ikhwan Mosque, which is located in the Construction Worker Residential Area (HPK), North Penajam Paser, East Kalimantan, Thursday (29/06).
Iwan Suprijanto, director general of housing for the PUPR Ministry, expects that employees will be able to live comfortably in the IKN HPK Area. Therefore, a variety of religious activities are organized at the Al Ikhwan Mosque to boost mood and express gratitude for the benefits of working.
After carrying out the Eid prayers, the construction workers held a friendly activity and shared a meal with the IKN Authority and IWAPI. Furthermore, the workers also slaughtered 4 cows and 6 goats for sacrifice.
One of the construction workers, Suwito said, this Eid prayer felt different because he was far from his family in Central Java. Even so, this did not reduce the enthusiasm of the construction workers who had the opportunity to celebrate Eid al-Adha for the first time at IKN Nusantara.
“Eid al-Adha this time feels different because we are tasked with building an IKN in East Kalimantan, which is far from our families. We hope that the entire development process goes well and smoothly, and is able to improve the welfare of us, construction workers in Indonesia,” concluded Suwito
Also attending the activity was the Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) Bambang Susantono, and as Imam for the Eid al-Adha 1444 H prayer, Ustadz Mulyana (ABIM)
