Bogor, West Java, Indonesia, ABIM (7/9/2026) –President Prabowo Subianto received Minister of Investment and Downstreaming and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Danantara Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia, and the Danantara team at his residence in Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java Province, on Friday, September 4, 2026.
In a written statement, Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya said that accelerating downstreaming was one of the main agendas discussed during the meeting.
“Accelerating downstreaming is a strategic step to increase the added value of natural resources domestically, strengthen investment, and create greater economic benefits for Indonesia,” the Cabinet Secretary said in the written statement.
In addition to downstreaming, the President received a report on the progress of implementing his instructions concerning the restructuring and streamlining of state-owned enterprises (SOEs). To date, 290 SOEs have been closed, a move that has reportedly resulted in state budget savings of up to Rp50 trillion.
The consolidation process will continue, with a target of closing at least 700 more SOEs by the end of December 2026 as part of efforts to simplify the structure of state-owned companies. Through the SOE restructuring, budget efficiency is projected to reach up to Rp100 trillion.
President Prabowo emphasized that the restructuring of SOEs must be carried out in a measured and comprehensive manner. The move is aimed at ensuring that state-owned companies have a more efficient, healthy, and professional structure, while being able to make an optimal contribution to the national economy.
“Mr. President emphasized the importance of carrying out SOE restructuring in a measured and comprehensive manner to create a more efficient, healthy, and professional structure for state-owned companies, enabling them to make an optimal contribution to the national economy,” the Cabinet Secretary concluded.
