Jakarta, ABIM (15/9/2023) – Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), was represented by Expert Staff to the Minister of PUPR for Economics and Investment Dadang Rukmana at the opening of the Indonesia Energy and Engineering (IEE) Series 2023 International Exhibition on Wednesday, (9/13). This activity serves as a forum for information exchange between supply and demand, as a means of collaboration between domestic and international stakeholders in the construction sector, and to develop digital and technological transformation and foster investment opportunities in the construction services sector.
“I hope that all visitors and participants may get the most out of this exhibition as a venue for communication and knowledge exchange regarding the most recent advancements and innovations in the construction and energy industries. Dadang Rukmana expressed the hope that in the future, events of this nature might be held frequently and effectively communicated to the entire community.
It is regarded as a logic and strategic move on the part of the government to make infrastructure development a national priority program under President Joko Widodo. In the context of equitable development, which does not only focus on the island of Java but also on other islands, the availability of reliable infrastructure is the primary key to enhancing people’s welfare, competitiveness, and economic growth in Indonesia.
“In this regard, energy and engineering are one of the prerequisites for building reliable infrastructure and which involves the participation of National Construction Services.” Dadang Rukmana stated.
According to Dadang Rukmana, infrastructure development is a complex task that involves a supply chain system and a series of stages from upstream to downstream. The sustainability of infrastructure implementation depends on the construction supply chain’s readiness.
“We must be able to ensure the readiness of all components of the construction and energy industry supply chain, including the latest equipment and technology materials. Therefore, I really appreciate exhibition activities like this. Through this activity, it is hoped that it will increase our insight into the development of quality and powerful product innovations competitive with the latest technology in the construction and energy sectors,” Dadang Rukmana said.
The 2023 Indonesia Energy and Engineering Series International Exhibition consists of the oil and gas, mining, power and electic, construction and concrete industries which were attended by 2,104 exhibitors.(ABIM)
