Minister Basuki, Inaugurating Management of the Indonesian Road Development Association 2023-2027, Declares: HPJI’s Contribution to Road Development Must Continue

Jakarta, ABIM (18/11/2023) – “I hope that HPJI will always work together with the Government, especially the PUPR Ministry, in road development, from planning, implementation and management of road assets throughout Indonesia,” Minister Basuki made the following statement on Thursday (11/16) at the PUPR Ministry Auditorium: “During the inauguration of the Central Management Board (DPP) of the Indonesian Road Development Association (HPJI), the HPJI Honorary Council, the HPJI Supervisory Board, and the HPJI Expert Council for the period 2023-2027.”

Minister Basuki expresses optimism regarding the sustained professionalism of the newly appointed HPJI Management Board, the Supervisory Board, Expert Council, and Honorary Council as they confront numerous challenges associated with road management in Indonesia.

As a professional organization for road and transportation developers, implementers, and planners, HPJI plays an important part in promoting the achievement of infrastructure development as a national priority.

Road construction in Indonesia is presently confronted with numerous challenges, including the rapid development of construction technology; therefore, road construction specialists who are also members of HPJI are required to demonstrate innovation and originality.

A further challenge is financing innovation due to budget limits; therefore, in order to facilitate more effective and efficient road and bridge construction, Human Resources (HR), which serves as the primary driving force, must be able to immediately adapt.

The HPJI Central Management Board appointed for the period 2023–2027 consisted of Dr. Ir. Hedy Rahadian, M.Sc., as General Chairperson, Ir. Heddy Rohandi Agah, M.Eng., as General Secretary, and Ir. Sutopo Kristanto as General Treasurer.(ABIM)
