10th World Water Forum Exhibition Launches, Showing 17 Country Pavilions and 108 Organizational Participants

Bali, ABIM (22/5/2024) – Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) Chair Puan Maharani, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno, World Water Council (WWC) President Loic Fauchon, and Minister of PUPR Expert Staff for Inter-Institutional Relations K.M. Arsyad jointly inaugurated the 10th Fair and Expo World Water Forum 2024. The ceremony took place at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC) on Monday, May 20, 2024.

“Thank God, along with the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy and the President of WWC, I officially open the 10th Fair and Expo World Water Forum. “We’re eager to demonstrate Indonesia’s progress in water management at this exhibition,” said DPR chair Puan.

The 10th Fair and Expo World Water Forum at BNDCC consisted of the Country Pavilion which was attended by 18 participants from 17 countries, as well as the Organization Pavilion which was attended by 108 national and international companies and organizations from 11 countries.

The Indonesian government prepared the Indonesian Pavilion to highlight the nation’s successes and innovations in water resource management, infrastructure development, such as IKN, and tourism. Moreover, a Function Room with 40 talk show sessions is also available for visitors.

DPR Chair Puan commented, “The Indonesian Pavilion demonstrates Indonesia’s advancements in responsibly using and innovating water resources for the benefit of communities.”

Fair/Water Vaganza was also held at Bali Collection Nusa Dua with 51 booths and Tsunami Shelter Kuta with 74 booths. There are several interesting activities displayed such as Small Medium Enterprises Exhibitions, Bai Creative Workshop, Water Talks, Cultural Festivals, and Water Concert.

DPR Chair Puan praised the organization of the 10th World Water Forum, highlighting its potential for fostering global collaboration and innovative water management practices.

“The 10th World Water Forum underscores Indonesia’s commitment, along with the international community, to enhance the utility of water resources in our country,” explained DPR Chair Puan.

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga further noted that the 10th World Water Forum stands out as one of Indonesia’s largest conferences ever held.

“We appreciate the confidence placed in Indonesia as the host of the 10th World Water Forum. This event holds significant promise, particularly for SMEs, and offers ample opportunities for our nation,” emphasized Minister Sandiaga.(ABIM)
