Jakarta, ABIM (2/5/2024) – The Indonesian government, through the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo), has built telecommunications infrastructure for use at the 10th World Water Forum, which will be held in Nusa Dua, Bali, from May 18 to May 25, 2024. The telecommunications infrastructure has been established for both the delegates and the media crew.

Minister of Communication and Information, Budi Arie Setiadi, as well as Chair of Division VIII: Public Communication, Documentation, and Promotion of the 10th World Water Forum’s National Organizing Committee, stated that telecommunications infrastructure and the media center play a crucial role in promoting the international water forum globally.

“At least from the perspective of telecommunications infrastructure, media center, and promoting the 10th World Water Forum to resonate worldwide,” said Budi in his recent statement.

In addition to setting up telecommunications infrastructure, the Ministry of Communication and Information will also invite media covering the World Water Forum 2024 to visit various water management sites in Bali, including Lake Batur, Subak, and the Water Museum in Tabanan.

“Since all the themes of the 10th World Water Forum revolve around water, we will visit various water-related sites such as Lake Batur, Subak, and the Water Museum in Tabanan, the goal is to protect water for the future of our descendants.” He said.

Meanwhile, Vice C hairman 2, Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Acting Governor of Bali, Sang Made Mahendra Jaya, stated that the Bali provincial government had finalized preparations for the event with the central organizing committee last week.

“The tentative agenda has been drafted and reviewed by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime and Investment Affairs. It has been reported to President Joko Widodo, who will decide which parts of the agenda will go forward,” he said.

Bali’s provincial government is currently focusing on additional activities outside of the core forum. Proposed plans include excursions to the Jatiluwih area in Tabanan, the Kintamani area in Bangli, and Melukat (a purification ritual). In Jatiluwih, the government offers visits to the traditional irrigation system in the subak rice fields and the Panglukatan Pura Kadatuan Raksa Sidhi temple. In Kintamani, activities involve Lake Batur.(ABIM)
